Praline is a pastry shop and café launched by Norma Kelly in 2017. Norma has worked as a pastry chef for the past 10 years as well as teaching pastry at Dublin Institute of Technology, Cathal Brugha Street and taking part in many culinary and pastry competitions, most notably the Cocao Barry UK and Ireland World Chocolate Masters in 2015, where she won the category for ‘Best Moulded Praline’ with her Hot Whiskey flavoured chocolate.
Norma chose the name ‘Praline’ because she feels it reflects her love of all things pastry and chocolate, as it has a couple of meanings associated with the pastry world. French praline is a mixture of roasted almonds or hazelnuts and caramelized sugar. Belgian praline consists of a chocolate shell filled with a liquid chocolate or caramel nut filling.
Praline serves high quality pastries and cakes for every day treats and special occasions.
To complement the sweet treats Praline also serves light breakfast and lunch
offering a selection modern and fresh soups, salads and sandwiches.
